Riverland Allied Health Support
Meet the Team Behind S&C Allied Health
Meet the local Riverland team delivering face-to-face OT and counselling to your home, school, and community.
Why We Started
Dylan Blackley, Director and Counsellor
Through my work with Support & Connect, I watched families in the Riverland hit the same wall over and over. Their child needed occupational therapy or a counsellor, and the answer was always the same: six-month waitlist, or drive to Adelaide.
I wanted to build a local team that shows up, stays consistent, and actually makes a difference in daily life. When the right people came together, we made it happen.
My background is in counselling with a focus on children, adolescents, and families. I hold a Diploma of Counselling (majoring in Working with Children and Adolescents, and Child Development and Effective Parenting), Certificate IV in Disability, Certificate III in Individual Support, and a Diploma in Emergency Care.

The Team

Emma
Head Occupational Therapist
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
Emma works with children and young people across the Riverland to build practical, everyday skills through occupational therapy. From sensory regulation and fine motor development to daily living and school participation, she brings OT sessions directly to your home, school, and community.

Gemma
Counsellor
Diploma of Counselling
Gemma provides counselling for children, teenagers, and young adults across a range of challenges including anxiety, emotional regulation, social difficulties, confidence, grief, and trauma. She brings counselling to schools, homes, and community settings.

Emma
Allied Health Assistant
Emma joins our Riverland team as an Allied Health Assistant, working alongside our OT and counsellors to carry therapy strategies forward between sessions. She supports clients with mentoring, skill-building, and day-to-day goal work - helping stretch every NDIS plan further.

Reeni
Director & Head of Administration
Reeni keeps everything running smoothly. From managing referrals and NDIS funding details to coordinating the team's schedule, she's often the first person you'll speak to when you get in touch.

We work across the full Riverland region, from Renmark in the east to Waikerie in the west. Our service area includes:
- Renmark
- Berri
- Loxton
- Barmera
- Waikerie
- Paringa, Murtho and surrounding communities
We're mobile by design. Sessions happen at home, school, and in the community - wherever support is most useful and most accessible. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, call us or include your location when you submit a referral.
Why Consistent, Local Allied Health Matters in the Riverland
One of the most common things we hear from families is how exhausted they are from starting over.
A new provider. A new face. Explaining everything from scratch - the diagnosis, the history, what works and what doesn't, how their child communicates, what their school is like.
We're different because we stick around.
Your child sees the same OT or counsellor, every session. That person learns your child's strengths, their challenges, and how they communicate. They coordinate with the school. They visit the home. Over time, they build a real picture of your child's life - and that's when therapy actually becomes effective.
That's what we mean when we say consistency builds trust. It's not a tagline. It's the thing that makes the difference between support that works and support that doesn't.
Working with NDIS Participants and Professional Qualifications
S&C Allied Health works with NDIS participants across the Riverland. We also welcome private clients - if you or your child needs OT or counselling and don't have an NDIS plan, contact us to discuss private rates and availability.
Our team holds the qualifications, registrations, and professional memberships appropriate to their respective disciplines. Our services are designed to deliver clear outcomes against NDIS plan goals, and we follow NDIS Practice Standards in how we work.
Our Berri-based facility includes a dedicated sensory space - a calm, structured environment for clinic-based OT and sensory play sessions. This soft area is available for children who benefit from a supported sensory environment alongside their home and school sessions.
For specific questions about our qualifications, registrations, or insurance, please contact us directly.
