We work with NDIS participants across the Riverland, from Renmark and Berri to Loxton, Barmera, Waikerie, and the communities in between.
Most of our clients are children aged 5 to 17 with autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, developmental delay, or emotional regulation difficulties. We also support young adults working toward independence, and adults needing Functional Capacity Assessments for NDIS reviews.
If your child has an NDIS plan, or you're working toward one, we can walk you through how funding works for OT and counselling.

Why Riverland Families Choose Our Local Allied Health Team
There are providers out there. But there aren't many who can offer what we do - local, face-to-face, joined-up OT and counselling, in the places where daily life actually happens.
Same Therapist, Every Time
Your child works with the same person every session. That consistency builds real trust - and it matters a lot for children who find new people difficult.
We Come to You
No driving to Adelaide. No clinic waiting rooms. We bring support to your home, your child's school, or the community.
OT & Counselling Together
Our OT and counsellors share strategies and coordinate support. The joined-up approach makes everything more effective.
Stretch Your NDIS Funding
Allied Health Assistants carry strategies forward between sessions. More hours of support from your Capacity Building budget.
Local Team, Local Knowledge
We're not a national franchise. We're local, we know the schools and communities, and we're invested in the Riverland.
School Partnerships That Work
We coordinate with schools across the Riverland to schedule sessions during the day and share strategies with teachers and support staff.
The Team Behind S&C Allied Health
Local therapists. Real relationships. When you submit a referral, you're not getting a call centre - you're getting Dylan, Emma, or Gemma. People who know the Riverland and invest in the children and families they support.

Emma
Occupational Therapist
Riverland OT specialising in paediatric sensory integration, fine motor development, and NDIS functional assessments. Emma comes to your home, school, or community.

About Dylan →
Gemma

About Gemma →A Dedicated Sensory Play Space in the Riverland
Our Berri clinic includes a purpose-built sensory space - not a clinic room with a few foam blocks, but a full therapeutic environment. Colourful tumble mats, aerial swings, a climbing wall, balance beams, and soft play equipment, all designed specifically for OT with children.
Clinic sessions complement home and school visits, giving children a consistent, stimulating space where they can push limits safely and build confidence through movement and play.

Getting started with us is straightforward. Four steps from first contact to ongoing support.
Submit a Referral
Use our online form or give us a call. Tell us about the participant, what support they need, and where they are in the Riverland. We take it from there.
We Get in Touch
Our team reviews the referral and contacts you, usually within a few business days, to talk through the next steps and confirm how the NDIS plan covers support.
We Plan the Support Together
We work with you, the participant, and their family to understand goals and priorities. Then we schedule sessions at the most useful time and place.
Therapy Starts
Sessions begin. We track progress against NDIS goals, keep you in the loop, and provide reports for plan reviews. If anything needs adjusting, we adjust.

Common Questions About Riverland Occupational Therapy and NDIS Counselling
Is occupational therapy and counselling covered by NDIS?
Yes. Occupational therapy is usually funded under Capacity Building, specifically Improved Daily Living. NDIS counselling often comes under the same category or under Improved Health and Wellbeing, depending on your plan. We can help you work out which supports fit your funding.
Do you come to us, or do we come to you?
We come to you. Sessions happen at your home, your child's school, or wherever is most comfortable and practical in the community. You don't need to travel anywhere.
Will my child see the same therapist every time?
Yes. We prioritise consistency. The same OT or counsellor attends every session with your child. This is especially important for children who take time to warm up to new people.
Can you work with my child's school?
Absolutely. School-based sessions and teacher collaboration are a core part of what we offer. We work with school leadership to schedule sessions during the school day and share strategies that help in the classroom.
How quickly can we start?
We'll be in touch after you submit a referral to discuss availability. We work hard to keep wait times down, and our Allied Health Assistant model means participants can often begin working on strategies sooner while OT session slots are confirmed.
What's the difference between occupational therapy and counselling?
Occupational therapy focuses on practical everyday skills like dressing, self-care, fine motor development, sensory regulation, and independence. Counselling focuses on emotional wellbeing including anxiety, emotional regulation, confidence, grief, trauma, and social connection. A lot of our clients benefit from both, and our team coordinates support across the two.
Do you need an NDIS plan to access services?
No. We welcome both NDIS-funded and private clients. If you or your child needs OT or counselling and don't have an NDIS plan, you can still access our services - contact us to discuss private rates and availability. If you're working toward an NDIS plan, a Functional Capacity Assessment from our OT can support your application or plan review.
